Just the other night we took a soothing warm shower with a scented candle serving as our light.
Just the other night I collapsed onto your bed, as you rubbed coconut oil onto my bare body.
Just the other day we were eating oatmeal and hard-boiled eggs for breakfast.
Just the other day I was in your kitchen washing the dishes when you kissed me goodbye.
I had no idea that those moments would end up becoming our last.
I hadn’t the slightest clue that I could go from making love to you,
to getting left behind.
What you never said with words, you always portrayed with action.
But now, I have nothing at all.
Not a text, not a call, not a DM or email.
Why is this the way we had to end?
